AIN’T PUSSYFOOTIN’ AROUND (2023)

Kitty & The Rooster’s sophomore album Ain’t Pussyfootin’ Around picks up right where their first record One Gig Hard Drive left off with more true tales from the tour van.

Featuring catchy 60’s surf inspired tunes with witty irreverent lyrics, the 11-track album contains some of the duo’s most popular songs from their live show. Good For You is an upbeat surf number composed entirely of hilarious things audience members have said to the band after shows, Everybody’s Somebody’s Asshole is a 50’s slow dance with a hefty dose of honesty, and Play Like A Motherf*cker is an anthem for female musicians everywhere, “I don’t play like a girl, I don’t play like a boy, I just play like a motherf*cker!”.

For a duo, Kitty & The Rooster make quite a lot of noise. Ain’t Pussyfootin’ Around is dripping with vintage reverb and high energy rockabilly-esque vocals on a bed of pounding surf drums.

ONE GIG HARD DRIVE (2018)

Kitty & The Rooster’s debut album One Gig Hard Drive is a funny-because-it's-true romp across the Canadian backroads. The 11-track album documents the hilarious, and at times absurd, life of the un-famous travelling musician. With clever word play, laugh out loud scenarios and some “did they really just go there?” moments, Kitty & The Rooster tell-all with the kind of honesty usually only found within the four walls of a tour van.

One Gig Hard Drive invites you to get up and shake it with an old-fashioned surf stomp. The album is fortified with vintage guitar sounds, slapback vocals, dirty drums, and Kitty & The Rooster’s trusty backup singers The Cockettes.
